Guidelines & Policies
LETS TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
We are open 30 minutes before the beginning of each class. The door is locked when the class begins.
All classes are subject to change - please sign up for classes in advance to reserve your space and receive notifications of cancellations.
Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early for class, as late arrival disturbs others. If you arrive early and there is a class wrapping up, please give those members the opportunity to enjoy the last few minutes of their class.
Please try to avoid leaving early as it disturbs others and you run the risk of missing important cooldowns. If you have to leave early, please inform the teacher & do so quietly, so not to disrupt the class.
We are a scent-free environment. Please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, scented lotions, etc. as someone may be allergic to them, and they can make breathing uncomfortable.
Please take your shoes off when you enter our studio space.
We provide Hire mats & yoga props, however, we encourage you to bring your own. You are welcome to leave your mat at the studio.
Please leave all personal possessions (shoes, coats, cellphones, bags, purses, etc.) in the areas designated for them to avoid a cluttered floor and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
Please make sure your cellphones are turned off when left in the cubbies.
Please inform the teacher prior to class if you have any health conditions.
We try to make our space as comfortable as possible dots are allocated on the Studio floor to ensure space for your practice please line the dot with the top right hand side of your mat .
Physical Adjustments/Touch Guidelines
In yoga, physical adjustments (e.g. touch, movement) may be offered to you by the teacher. Adjustments are offered as a way to assist you to find good alignment, steadiness and ease, however, if you do not wish to receive any adjustments, please let the teacher know prior to class commencement. Your comfort and safety is very important to us. Please talk with your teacher if you have any concerns or questions.
MEMBERSHIP Terms & Conditions
CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS
All services purchased from Mind body online or the Rise Studio must be preceded by the applicant completing a Release and Waiver of Liability. You can complete the liability release online via your mind body account sign-up, or in studio.
Each of our direct debit memberships have a minimum term commitment. This is to allow us to continue to offer the best price for our quality yoga. Contracts are continuous unless cessation is requested in writing by the member.
12 MONTH MEMBERSHIP: This is our most economical membership, for the committed yogi who is happy to lock into a 12 month contract*
Terms: minimum 6 months to see out contract + early exit fee of $150
FLEXI MEMBERSHIP : Terms: minimum 8 week term, can cancel any time after 8 week period. Perfect for the avid yogi who wants to make a commitment to practice but doesn’t want to lock into a longer contract
3 MONTH MEMBERSHIP: Terms: 3 month minimum contract – no early exit available.
6 MONTH MEMBERSHIP - $32.50 a week, 6 month contract – Terms: minimum 4 months see out with $50 early exit fee
We know life happens. Our Freeze Policy is offered for 6 month, 12 month and Flexi memberhips. On a 12 month membership, you may pause for up to 6 weeks over the 12 mont period; for 6 month and flexi memberships 4 weeks maximum freeze period (continuous or separate freezes).
To freeze your continuous membership, Please let us know 14 days prior to your next billing date. Billing date is based on your activation date (for example: if you are scheduled to be charged January 1st and you want to freeze your membership for the month of January, you must submit a freeze request form to by December 16th.). Following the end of your requested freeze period, your fortnightly continuous payment will automatically be reactivated.
We offer a 20/ 10days (unlimited classes) so you can find out we are a great fit for your schedule, lifestyle, and goals. Because of this, we do not offer any refunds for any memberships or class passes purchased.
CLASS PASS EXPIRATION AND EXTENSION POLICY
10 Class pass expires 6 months after the date of purchase.
20 Class Pass expires 12 months after the date of purchase.
If you wish to extend your Class Pass, we charge a $12 administration fee for a three-month extension + any additional rate changes, as appropriate.
CLASS REGISTRATION POLICY
Registration (signing up for a class) is limited and is confirmed on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to use our Mind-Body online registration system to see the most up-to-date information about our current classes. Use this system to sign up for your favorite classes in advance - this ensures your spot is saved for you and that you receive an email notification if in the extremely rare event that a class may be cancelled. To help you plan your schedule, we have designed it so that you can sign up for all your classes for up to 2 weeks in advance. Offering an advance registration of two weeks helps to reduce waitlists, helps you to remember what you have signed up for in advance, and helps our teachers to plan classes accordingly.
STUDIO CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
We have never had to cancel a class yet to date, but we reserve the right to cancel any class, at any time. When this happens, we cancel the class on our Mind-Body online registration system and if you signed up ahead of time, you get an email and/or receive a text. (You can set this up in your Mind Body client account.)
CLIENT CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
Please cancel your reservation at your earliest convenience to open the class to other members. Any cancellations made less than 1 hour before a class is considered a ‘Late Cancellation” and will be charged at the full class rate. **Please note, the late cancellation window for the 6am classes is 9pm the night preceding the class.
